LRCEA Election Information

Good Afternoon LRCEA Members!

On April 25, from 9 am to 4 pm, LRCEA members will have the opportunity to elect a new Vice President.  Here are your two candidates in alphabetical order, and the candidacy statements received:

Neal Quigley, Incumbent    from CRC

My name is Neal Quigley, I’ve been employed with the District for 7 years and I’m the Sr. IT Support Specialist at CRC.  I’ve been a LRCEA Representative at CRC for 3-4 years, and was appointed to VP LRCEA position, by the LRCEA Executive board, after the position was vacated last year by the current President.  During my involvement with LRCEA I’ve been a responsible and active representative for CRC.   I have never had an unexcused absence for any Board meetings because I feel I need to be present to represent.

I currently serve on the following committees:

Joint Job Classification Review Committee

LRCEA/District Joint Labor-Management Committee

LRCEA Contract Negotiations Team (Current negotiations)

I don’t have a personal agenda I’m looking to fulfill in this race, other than to actively support our members with LRCCD employment issues, to create a better work environment, ensure our member’s voices are heard, and support the LRCEA Board members.  I’m running for the position of Vice President of Los Rios Classified Employees Association, and I’d appreciate your support in the April 25th election.

Thank you.

Elena Skubenich    from CRC

Additionally, LRCEA Members at SCC will vote on a new representative.

Here are your two candidates in alphabetical order, and the candidacy statements received:

Carol Poncini

As your union rep I will work hard to put my 16years of experience at Sacramento City College to work for you. I understand the frustration of trying to have someone listen and understand what the problems are. As your rep I will do everything I can to help facilitate your concerns. I understand this position requires time over and above; and I am willing to put that time into helping to make this a better work place for all of us.

Sharon Terry, Incumbent
